Plenary Discussion: “Regional energy issues. Can heat supply be an effective business?”

The participants of the plenary session will discuss the system problems, which are restraining the increase of industry investment attractiveness. During the discussion of a set of measures in order to increase the reliability and quality of system functioning of the heat supply, main focus will be on the improvement of economic and legal mechanisms in order to ensure payback of modernization projects including those at the expense of the current costs reduction. In the framework of the discussion there will also be announced proposals for changes in legislation regulating the state investment policy.

Russian Power Grid Industry is entering a new phase in its development - at the end of last year, Russian President signed a decree to approve the establishment of a new management company – ‘Russian network’ and to develop a new strategy of electric grid. The purpose of the reorganization is another innovative investment and upgrade of the industry, aimed at improving the reliability of power supply, energy and economic efficiency of the complex network through better management, transparency, investment and attracting private investments. Round Table: “Prospects of development of electric transport in Russia:
technological peculiarities of building up charging infrastructure”

The round table of participants will be informed about the first steps of JSC ‘FGC UES’ on implementation of Russian program for development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure under the auspices of electric power grid complex of the Russian Federation including its regional projects.

In the framework of the round table Russian and foreign experts will share their experience in carrying-out projects of setting up charging infrastructure for electric transport in Russia and the rest of the world. Moreover, the participants of the discussion will talk about innovative transport including electric buses powered by lithium-ion batteries, electric SUVs and minivans.

Main focus will be directed towards the realization of business-model of the development of charging infrastructure in the electric power grid complex.

Following participants are invited to the round table: representatives of relevant Russian ministries and agencies: Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Trade, governments of Moscow City and Moscow Region, Republic of Tatarstan, Stavropol Region, heads of regional energy companies, mass-media, manufacturers of electric vehicles and charging stations, industry experts.

Round Table: “Integrated approach to ensure the reliability of thermal and mechanical equipment at the enterprises within Fuel and Energy Complex”.

The functioning of such branches and segments within Fuel and Energy Complex as energy power grid industry, heat supply, oil refining and transit pipeline system at present moment is complicated by a high degree of thermal and mechanical (TME) equipment wear. In this regard, the issues of ensuring reliable functioning of the equipment and reducing the costs for maintenance, technical service and repair are becoming increasingly important.

The round table was attended by representatives from operating organizations, contractors, designers, developers and suppliers of highly efficient equipment and materials. The participants will discuss positive experience received from integrated programs of technological re-reqipment and advanced methods of diagnosis and repair of facilities operating on TME. Partly, the discussion will be dedicated to promising areas within scientific research of TME’s improved reliability.
