The representatives of "Kaspiyskiy truboprovodnyy konsortsium" CJSC are to participate in the events of the business program of the XIII Moscow International Energy Forum “Russian Fuel & Energy Complex in the XXI Century”.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is the largest international oil transportation project participated by Russia, Kazakhstan and world’s leading producer companies. It was established for construction and operation of the trunk oil pipeline more than 1,500 km long.
The CPC pipeline system mainly collects crude oil from large oil fields of West Kazakhstan, as well as crude oil from Russian producers.
The oil in the system comes mainly from oil fields in Western Kazakhstan and Russian manufacturers of raw materials. Once in the system, the oil is transported to the Marine terminal of the company in Novorossiysk, where it is loaded onto tankers for shipment to world markets.
The construction of the pipeline system began May 12, 1999.
October 13, 2001 the CPC carried out a test load of the first tanker. The amounts of oil passed to the CPC pipeline has been annually increasing, and in 2010, the value reached 35 million tons per year.
Currently, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium started expanding the capacity of its pipeline system to 67 million tons of oil per year. CTC is one of the most profitable and reliable routes to transport oil from the Caspian-Black Sea region to the world markets. More than a third of all oil exports of Kazakhstan are pumped through the CPC pipeline system each year.
