Aggravation of the international situation in connection with the events in Ukraine, organization of massive political and economic pressure of the United States of America and the European Union on the Russian Federation, the use of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation, imply the course on reducing the dependence of the European Union on imports of the Russian hydrocarbons. In this situation especially important becomes the reorientation of export flows of the Russian Federation to the oil and gas market of the Asia-Pacific Region. Despite the projected increase in demand for the primary resources in the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region, Russia will inevitably have to fight for an increase of its share in this promising market.
Discussion of the development prospects of the fuel and energy complex in the Eastern Siberia and the Far East and measures to diversify exports in the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region will be held in the framework of the plenary discussion “Eastern vector of the energy strategy of the Russian Federation: priorities, strategic goals and the key tools for their achievement”, which is one of the key events of the business program of the XIII Moscow International Energy Forum “Russian Fuel & Energy Complex in the XXI Century”. Particular attention during the discussion is planned to be paid to the questions of establishment of the production facilities for liquefied natural gas, production of the high-tech products of hydrocarbon processing, integrated infrastructure development in the new mining areas.
Plenary discussion will be held on April 20, 2015 in the premises of the Moscow Gostiny Dvor (Ilyinka St. 4).
