Yesterday, September 23, 2014, in Moscow, at the premises of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was held a joint meeting of the Organizing and Program Committees of the XIII Moscow International Energy Forum “Russian Fuel & Energy Complex in the XXI Century”.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, the Federal Tariff Service, the Federal Service for the Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management, the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, OJSC Gazprom, OJSC Russian Railways, the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy (IIEPD) the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MSIIR) (University) Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute, the Institute of Energy Strategy, the Russian Research Centre Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Institute for Energy and Finance, the Institute of Natural Monopolies Research (IPEM).
At the meeting was discussed the preparation process for the Forum and the draft program of activities of the Forum, presented by the General Director of the Forum Andrey Pavlovich Epishov and the Chief Analyst of the Forum Aleksandr Pavlovich Epishov.
During the discussion participated: the Advisor to the Head of the Federal Tariff Service Dmitriy Ivanovich Bednyakov, the Member of the Board under the Chairman of the Council of Federation on the issues of agro-industrial complex and food, the President of the Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum “RosPromEco” Nikolay Pavlovich Churkin, the Director of the Institute of Energy Strategy Vitaliy Vasilyevich Bushuyev, the Deputy Director of the Russian Research Center Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Gleb Aleksandrovich Ivashentsov, the General Director of the CJSC Construction Company Stolitsa Vladimir Ivanovich Demkov, the Head of the Division of Integrated Programs and Perspective Development of the Department of Technical Policy of the OJSC Russian Railways (RZD) Yuriy Nikolayevich Korol, the Deputy Head of the Department of Energy of the Institute for Energy and Finance Vladimir Ivanovich Revenkov. The Speakers paid attention to the potential and competitive advantages of the Forum, as an independent discussion platform, annually representing an actual expert opinion on the problems and prospects of the development of the global and Russian energy, and made a number of proposals for the revision of the program of the XIII Moscow International Energy Forum “Russian Fuel & Energy Complex in the XXI Century”, which will be held in Moscow Merchant Court (Moscow Gostiny Dvor) during April 20-22, in the year 2015.
Following the meeting was defined the procedure of interaction in order to finalize the draft program of the Forum between the Members of the Organizing and Program Committees on the one hand, and the Working Group of the Organizing Committee on the other.
