The MIEF-2011 Organizing Committee Co-Chairmen K. I. Kosachev, Yu. A. Lipatov and N. I. Ryzhkov have forwarded their greetings to the Forum participants. MIEF, being a public non-governmental platform, is traditionally supported by the federal authorities.
 The Forum Organizing Committee traditionally comprises representatives of the executive and legislative powers. According to Andrey Epishov, Director General of MIEF, the Forum traditionally gathers a competent international community of experts and professionals of the energy sphere, eminent representatives of the international organizations, persons in authority and distinguished guests; the important common objective thereof is to unite the efforts of all those who are concerned with tomorrow’s security and prosperity of their nations.
In greeting the participants of the MIEF-2011, Konstantin Kosachev, Co-Chairman of the MIEF Organizing Committee, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for International Affairs, emphasizes that the Moscow International Energy Forum «Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century» is one of the most convenient work platforms for discussing the key energy sector themes openly and competently, and for generating high-quality ideas: the ideas which are becoming more and more demanded by the world economy as well as by the international policies of individual countries.
