The largest Chinese suppliers of energy resources, Shenhua Corporation and Chinese National Petroleum Corporation, have confirmed their participation in the MIEF-2011.
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is a state oil company, with its headquarters in Beijing. The main business lines are extraction and processing of oil and gas. CNPC implements its foreign projects in Azerbaijan, Peru, Venezuela, Oman, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries. In 1999, Petro China company was detached within CNPC.
Shenhua Corporation is the largest Chinese producer of coal and coal products. The company aims considerable efforts at developing advanced technologies of the coal liquefaction and gasification, as well as those of expansion of the liquid and gaseous fuel production on the coal basis.
Among other events of the MIEF-2011 business program, representatives of Shenhua and CNPC will participate in the International Conference «Eastern Vector in the Russian Energy Strategy» and the Round Table «Russian-Chinese Strategic Energy Partnership: Potential and Ways of Implementation» to be held on 8 April within this year’s Forum.
