10 April, MIEF-2013 continues its work. Morning plenary session was called as “Forecasting of the world economy and energy: Russian view”.
Group of Russian scientists of Energy Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Science under the RAS academician Alexey Makarov chairing, with the support and participation of the Analytical Center expert group of Government of the Russian Federation under the guidance of High School of Economics Professor Leonid Grigoriev presented to the MIEF-2013 participants the new forecast of development of world and Russian power industry for the period up to 2040.
Forecasts of world energy development traditionally attracts a lot of attention but put a lot of questions at the same time, in particular concerning the forecasting methodology of world energy industry, individual countries and regions. The round table participants has heard the presentation of the new Forecast and discussed the methodology of its preparation and some of the outcome indicators within the framework of various scenarios of development of the world economy and energy.
