International conference "Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in Global Energy Markets: Strategy and Tactics of State Government and Corporations" was held in International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy, MGIMO (University). The event was arranged in the framework of Moscow International Energy Forum "Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century".
During the conference’s agenda, problems within transformation of world energy sector, global energy security, increase of competition on the international fuel markets and Fuel & Energy Complex modernization were discussed. Main focus was on the assessment of Russia's role in global energy markets, as well as on the international energy cooperation.
Professor Sergey Vasiliev, Deputy Director of the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy, MGIMO, greeted the conference’s participants.

The results of the international conference, held by MIEP MGIMO in the framework of the Forum “Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century", will make a significant contribution to the working-out of recommendations to ensure global energy security. At the same time, it will facilitate the formation of a new efficient Russian energy policy mechanisms and development of effective strategies among leading Russian companies in regard to the latest tendencies in global energy sector.
