In the framework of the preparation of XI Moscow International Energy Forum “Russian Energy and Fuel Complex in the XXI Century”, 07th February, 2013 at the initiative of the MIEF-2013 Program Committee will be held the round table in the format of an open meeting of the MIEF-2013 Program Committee with the participation of russian and foreign experts.
The purpose of the round table is to discuss the key issues and new quality of the world energy development and to formulate recommendations for the authorities and business to update the “Energy strategy of Russia”. The round table participants also will formulate recommendations on the Program and the most urgent topics for discussion at the plenary discussion of MIEF-2013.
The round table program included two thematic sessions:: “Major Changes in Global Energy Sector and New Challenges for Russia” and “Energy Strategy of Russia: Dogma or Changing Outlook?”.
Leading russian scientists and experts in the field of energy policy, economy, finance and forecasting express the high interest to the public debate on the prospects for the strategic leadership of Russia in the global energy industry. This is evidenced by the number of applications for presentations and participated in the round table.
Participation in the round table confirmed more than 45 people, including heads, chiefs and leading scientific employees of academic scientific institutions and experts, the number of non-commercial organizations. 30 applications were submitted for participation with reports.
The journalists from a number of leading Russian and foreign publications are already accredited for coverage of events in the framework of the preparation XI Moscow International Energy Forum and exhibition “Russian Energy and Fuel Complex in the XXI Century”. Due to the increased interest of the media accreditation of journalists at the round table “World energy: On the Threshold of Major Changes. The place of Russia in global energy markets by 2020.” will last until 17:00, 05 February 2013
