11th of April 2013, in the framework of the MIEF-2013 will be held the International conference “Russian far East as “the power gates of Russia” in the Asia-Pacific region”. Foreign and Russian participants of the conference will discuss the strategic prospects of energy cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region (APR), as one of the key instruments of the further development of regional economic integration on an open and mutually beneficial basis.
Chairman and host of the International conference is Gleb A. Ivashentsev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Deputy Director of the Russian Research Center for APEC member of the Program Committee of MIEF-2013.
To the conference were invited the delegations from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, representatives of official missions of these states in Russia, as well as leading experts in international relations in the energy sphere.
The scientists of several institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of JSC “Far East Energy Management Company”, JSC “Fund of development of the Far East and the Baikal region”, as well as international experts from the Energy Studies Institute (Singapore) and the China Institute of International Studies confirmed the participation with reports.
