 On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Directorate of the Moscow International Energy Forum «Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century», let me greet you and congratulate all power engineers of our country with their professional holiday.
We live in the world becoming more complex offering us both new opportunities and threats at the same time. We face new challenges such as climate change, energy safety and anthropogenic disasters.
Current trends in development of human civilization give us understanding that sustainable development of our countries and continents is possible only through joint efforts of world community, governments of all states and specialists of different spheres.
The Russian energy specialists and companies as well as governments of countries and regional authorities make unprecedented efforts to overcome the economic recession and promote progressive economic growth.
Everyday professional and responsible but unnoticed work of energy industry specialists cannot be exaggerated. Such a work assures the country’s effective economic growth and sustainable future for their citizens. And in future the role of such activity will be more and more important. This is one of the foundations of our civilization and the engine for economic growth.
The development of the fuel and energy complex is a guarantee of our prosperity within the near-term prospect, possibility for achievements and new opportunities for our children and new generations.
