Among the first officials to confirm their participation in the Forum were the regional delegations of the Altay Territory, the Kirov Region, the Republics of Buryatiya and the Rostov Region.
This fact evidences that the year-to-year good tradition of the regions’ participation in the International Energy Forum «Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century» persists and evolves even after the Forum obtained international status. Today, when Russia is a member of WTO, the Russian regions feels special topicality of the international cooperation in terms of energy, including in terms of energy-efficiency enhancement at the budget production enterprises and institutions.
The regional delegations have special interest in the Round Table «Regional Power Industry: Procedural, Institutional and Economic Aspects of Modernization for Energy Efficiency Improvement». Among the key issues to consider there will be the state policy for enhancement of the energy efficiency and promotion of the harnessing of renewable resources, the state support of the development of the regional/interregional energy infrastructure; the federal and regional programs for development of the energy complexes; the condition of the legislative base for the renewable energy generation in Russia; the energy management and financing of the energy-efficiency projects in the budget and housing spheres, communal services, power and production industries.
