The Program Committee of MIEF-2012 is concluding the preparation for the round table «Sustainable Development: World Trends and Strategic Ways of Russia» in the atmosphere of the unprecedented interest that the Russian science-expert community takes to this event. The round table will take place on 27 February 2012 at Vernadsky State Geological Museum.
The event is aimed at open discussion that may help to find new approach to the key problems of sustainable development and to formulate recommendations to contribute to success of MIEF-2012 plenary session and for the relevant major decision-makers, also in considering the preparation of RIO+20.
The round table program includes two theme sessions: «World Economic Order and Sustainable Development: Key Problems and Solutions» and «Sustainable Development and World Power Industry: Trends, Challenges and Strategies. Russia’s Energy Strategy in the Context of Sustainable Development».
40 persons confirmed their participation, including the heads and leading researchers of the academic science institutes and experts of numerous non-profit organizations. 15 report applications are submitted.
