Over 15 Russian regions have already submitted statements announcing their official delegations’ participation in the MIEF 2012. It evidences that the regions keep following and developing the lasting good tradition of taking part in the energy forum “Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century” even after the forum became international. Today, when Russia is going to join WTO, the Russian regions are getting more and more concerned about the international cooperation in the energy industry, including the improvement of the energy efficiency of the manufacturing plants and the budgetary enterprises. The potential foreign partners visiting the forum exhibition will be offered new investment projects presented by the regional delegations, including the programs for the development of the engineering-production infrastructure of the energy sector. For the time being, the heads of the speeches submitted to the Program Committee of the MIEF-2012 highlight the two topics that attract the regional delegations most: the tariff regulation for the services by the enterprises of the monopolized energy sector and, another one, the financing of the modernization of the engineering infrastructure belonging to the regional energy economies, including the heat networks and the regional distributing mains.
